I have heard the question, “What is the Biblical method of evangelism?” Do people really think there is only 1 way? In Latin America the primary method is preaching, Preaching in the church, preaching in campaigns, preaching house to house, preaching to one person. I think you get the idea. Preaching was evangelism and evangelism was preaching. Seldom was there a conversation and rarely were questions of the unbeliever answered. There was preaching and then a call for a decision. Sometimes the preaching was preceded by a dance or drama or other activity.
Jesus and the disciples preached. However, they also had one on one conversations such as the woman at the well and a spiritual discussion with Nicodemus. They healed and people believed. They cast out demons and people believed. They taught spiritual Truths and people believed. Jesus told parables. He loved people. The disciples shared their testimonies. Many methods were used to share the message. Think about these conversions in the Bible: Apostle Paul, the Samaritan woman at the well, 5000 on Pentecost, the Ethiopian Eunuch, the family of Cornelius, the jailer in Acts 16, and others. There is only one message, The Gospel. But there are many methods. The Gospel is so important that we must share it every effective way we can.
